The course is divided into two components: the Fire Safety Component and the Non-Fire Emergencies with Active Shooter/Medical Emergencies Component. By combining these essential topics, we ensure that you receive a well-rounded education that prepares you for various emergency scenarios.

This course is a requirement for all hotels and office buildings, as mandated by the FDNY. It equips you with the expertise needed to serve as a Fire Life Safety Director (FLSD), a crucial role responsible for implementing fire safety and evacuation plans, training fire safety personnel, and ensuring compliance with the Fire Code.

To enroll in this course, you must meet the prerequisite of having 1.5 years of fire safety-related experience, including at least 6 months of experience in a single property. Make sure to review the qualification criteria on our website before signing up.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be required to attend all classes and achieve a minimum mark of 70% on the final exam administered by ASNY Security. Once you pass with a score of 70% or higher, you will receive a diploma from ASNY Security, which must be presented to the Fire Department.
